We don't need no ark

I feel so sorry for my friends who are posting about water getting into their basement. We are very lucky...our basement is solid concrete half-way up the side.

We weren't so lucky years ago when we were living in West Seattle. The house we rented flooded, and destroyed a lot of great stuff (the basement was finished, and our rec room, among other things, was down there), including 2/3 of Elf's coveted and never to be recovered comic book collection.

I heard yesterday that that same neighborhood flooded again. I am *so* glad we don't live there anymore.
