A Good Example

I could smell it before I touched it. My fine, $200 black Italian leather boots....soaked with cat pee. I was furious.

"No!" I raged.

"What??" asked a confused Elf.

"I'm going to kill that cat!"

"What did she do?"

"She peed on my good Italian leather boots, that black furball! Where is she?!"

"Oh, I guess it matters now when she pees on something of yours," he threw back.

"Yeah, something I actually wear," I returned. "Tell me again why we still keep that cat around?"

He grasped my shoulders and drew me close. "She's a good example to our children," he murmured. "Someday, they'll be choosing our nursing home."

I growled. "If I'm ever that old and pee on their good Italian black leather boots, I hope they kill me too!"

D-do they REALLY make leather out of Italians?

Yeah, but man, you should hear them scream when you pull of the skin! ;)

Paint them with anti-cat smell. I can recommend a brand that actually works.

That would be fabulous. Up till now she's been leaving my leather boots alone...but since we got rid of Elf's old dress-up shoes that he never wears anymore and were damaged anyway, she didn't have anything else to pee on, I guess, in that area.

Oh noes!

Do you think a good shoe repair might save them? It's worth a try, those are beautiful boots!

Actually, Elf brought out some good saddle soap that he says should work. I'm just going to have to look through my Copious Spare Time (TM) for the time to do so.

Ewwwwwwww. I'm SO sorry. Our male cat is having pee problems, and just, yuck.
