Because it had to be said

Yamaarashi-chan: (chopping tomatoes for tacos) I think these tomatoes have nice skin.

Elf: I think little girls have nice skin.

Me: Yeah, but you usually don't chop up little girls.

And that, folks, is a summary of our household.

Now, in my defense, my comment was directed at the way Y-chan is constantly, incessantly dousing herself in mascara, lipstick, eyeshadow, moisturizer, and goddess only knows what else. I know teen girls go through this stage, but I still have to push back whenever I can with the point that natural is best.

I agree. Young girls don't need makeup. In fact, I think it usually looks horrible on them. Except for goth makeup, that's an exception.

Especially really young girls. Those child beauty pageants where the girls are made-up to the point of ridiculousness? Makes me gag, every time.
