I'm listening right now to the NPR program This American Life. I don't normally listen to this program because for some reason it just never really catches me. But this time, this night, it really did. Ira Glass, the host, is talking about the Republican party, and how inclusive some believe they are. Apparently Ira had been listening to a radio program recently, I think he said from Kansas, where the people calling in had been under the deluded view that the Democratic party was very exclusive, and would not allow people who didn't agree with their views into their party, but that the Republican party was exactly the opposite, and was very inclusive of people who's views were different from theirs, and would allow them to speak their minds.

I almost had a heart attack. I had heard about people from other dimensions coming to ours to try to turn our brains into jelly, but I'd never seen it in action. Well, now I have...albeit through the observation of Ira Glass. Um, inclusive? Allows others to speak their minds?

Is this why the GOP always ignores the Log Cabin Republicans and refuses to let delegates from their party to speak, even has republicans supporting the democratic candidate running *against* a log cabin republican? Is this why the pro-choice Republicans' platform is always stripped away from the GOP platform? Because the GOP is so *very* inclusive. Yeah, right.
