Religious fervor
Nov. 3rd, 2004 10:39 amI've been looking at the exit polls for the elections throughout the country. Moral values, if not the most important, are the second most important reason for people to vote for Bush. Moral values.
CNN didn't define what that meant, but it can only mean one of two things. Either the moral values of the presidential candidate they are voting for, or the belief that this presidential candidate will somehow affect the moral value of the country. If the former, what the fuck are the voting for Bush, who doesn't go to church hardly at all and lies to the American people?!
If the latter, I'm far more terrified. Because it means that these people believe that George Bush will someone use the might of the federal government to affect the moral values of this country in their favor. And moral values are what you get from religion.
Their religion.
